The cars AC did not work had to swap it out over two hours away due to no open stores. The staff was great but the car was not. They did give me a new car in Bakersfield.

Staff friendliness

Arrived on time but they didn't have a car ready. asked me to wait two hours for the car I wanted (full size) Took an alternative (Nissan rogue) which was fine but they seemed to scrutinize every little scratch with pics which took additional time and made me feel like they were preparing to find damage when I returned it. Wanted to drop it off early but there isnt a key drop box. It just didn't feel very professional. With such little cars and all of the above mentioned I don't believe I will go there again.

It is not acceptable that the LLC running the operation has only one person for literally dozens of people. As a result there were people spending more than 2 hours in line in a room with no chairs to pick up their reserved rental. We were all stuck there to get the rental that we had reserved to be able to continue on with vacation or business. I will avoid returning there if I can, just for that total disregard for customers. On top of that, I returned the car on the next day just 45 min late and I was charged 75% of my rate, no mercy from the office manager Fernando . Very unforgiving, I will never return to that office, I doubt I will rent with AVIS again.
