- Spent 2h waiting in line after arrival at night, when ~8 people were in front of us. - Then they refused to take our cards so we had to switch multiple times between the drivers and the process took FOREVER all the time. - The car had something with brakes, the car was shaking like hell when braking. - Price was higher as well. + We managed to get the car in the end and use it for what we needed.

The price I was quoted on Kayak was not what Budget charged me - I was quoted $400 and they had me pay $560. The car also was not the mid Suv I had requested, but rather a sedan. When I asked if the vehicle was a sedan, they said no, it's a hatchback. I was charged more for a lower level vehicle. In short, I'm unimpressed.

Very good|May 2024

Car needed a service about 3,000 miles into the rental, and because no facilities were available closer, I had to drive another 500 miles before I came to a suitable service location. Once the service was booked, the process took only a few hours and all was good afterwards.

It seemed that returning the car earlier ( due to fire and lots of smoke in the north west of the USA) was rather complicated. Also the person who arranged it in Salt Lake City calculated the insurance twice ! Bit disappointing

We had a Hyundai Ionic. A hybrid. The range was 600 miles per tank! With gas prices high, it was a great car to have. Pickup in Salt Lake was easy. Drop off in Vegas was easy. Comfortable, and handled the mountains just fine.

Car was not ready when I arrived, even though I was an hour and a half later than I said I would be because of flight delay. They said it would take at least a half an hour to get my car ready, said there would be no USB port in the car or any ability to charge a cell phone in it, and they would not upgrade me to another car at the same price. When I canceled my reservation, they refused to refund my money, because I had made the reservation through an online service - even though it was Thrifty that had charged me. A bad experience overall.

The car was fine but I had to wait 2 hours in line to get my car even with a reservation.

First, I couldn't get the car I reserved, the employee did not care and they over charged me for the car as I had booked a premium car and did not get it. Second, once we found the car, when we opened the doors, all we could smell was cigarettes, and there were ashes, food crumbs, dirt and greasy door handles. Filthy car, we pulled out our own cleaning supplies to clean it. Third, we complained to one of the employees, and they acted like they did not understand English. I will never use them again.
