Cheap Car Rentals in Texas

Very easy pick-up and drop-off. Friendly agent at the desk for questions during pick-up. Had a wonderful, new, clean car that was very enjoyable to drive!!

I was assigned a Hyundai Venue. That car told me every five minutes (or less) that I needed to stop for a coffee break. This could be immediately after I stopped for a lunch or dinner, or any break, for that matter. I could not figure out how to turn that feature off despite my husband researching that over the internet. I hope someone will turn that feature off once you read this message. So, service was wonderful. I would not rent THAT car again.

Staff were very helpful. Upgraded my selection but the car sat too low for me and was uncomfortable. That was not their fault.

Very chaotic on pickup day. Didn't have the exact size vehicle I reserved. Would have preferred a newer vehicle. The SUV had 58k miles and lots of broken things on it. Needs to be sold and replaced by a new model.

I made my reservation same day because of last minute changes in my travel plans. When I arrived at the counter they told me they only had luxury cars available and could not rent to me unless I paid $112 extra per day. They explained that they couldn’t honor same day reservations. … which just left me wondering why they accepted them. I rented from Hertz, it was a great experience and guaranteed that I’ll never rent with Sixt!

Awful. Rude staff at Aisport. Insisted I HAD to prepay with fuel and aggressive sell on unneeded insurance. Found an Air Tag tracking the car!!!

Oil change warning in the car came on, and customer service told me to have the oil changed and be reimbursed. Drop-off agent told me I violated protocol and shouldn’t have changed the oil (and paid for it out of pocket), all while typing and not making eye contact. I was then threatened with the $450 cleaning fee - which I didn’t violate. I’ll never rent from Avis again. Terrible experience.

Counter service was relatively quick (for a rental car, that is!) and we were upgraded to an electric vehicle at no additional charge.

They did not have a car for me, even after renting the car online on May 31st. I was given a number to call and they searched the other locations and they "had" some at DFW International airport. Once I arrived to the airport I was greeted by a rude employee behind the counter that told me that even if they had a car to give me that it would be a price increase. I told them that just a few hours before I spoke with someone and they were to note my reservation that the cost was to stay the same and all I was doing was picking up at a location that showed cars available. When departing the location there were a line of unhappy guests in the same problem as I was in. I ended up having to search and found a rental but it was with a different company.

Easy pickup and drop off, car was very clean.

Flight canceled for weather and i was still charged

Car was fine but nothing was said about a $500 deposit when I already paid for my rental w my credit card! Total BULLSHIT!

Flight was delayed few hours by the time we got to counter they were close meanwhile all the other rental companies were open had to book through another company to get a car big waste of time

Everything was great except the person who checked me in. He was extremely rude without any reason, as if I were not a customer who paid for the car. He was loud and with a scolding tone when I handed him my driver license and debit card. My driver license is broken from the top, so he started playing with it with his hand causing it to get worst. When I calmly asked him to just take the information without tampering with it, he said good luck if they allow you out of the lot. When he took my debit card, he told me about the security deposit in a demanding way, as if I didn’t use it before or I didn’t know the process. I kept my calm in order not to complicate things, I asked my kids to go sit at the back benches so they don’t have to witness his disrespectful manners, and I walked away to the lot after he finished the transaction without commenting. I understand he probably had a rough day, and I hope this is not the case every day because it affects sales of the organization in the long run. Except him, everything else went smooth.

Only 1 car to choose from, long wait to get to pick up the car, could have had more staff if they were that busy. Other than that it was pretty good. Quick drop off. Good value all in all

Got to the rental center at IAH and the line for Dollar rentals was over a 100 yards long. I stood in line for 90 minutes and only moved a few feet. They had two staff on duty. I had to get to an appointment so was forced to abandon my prepaid rental and take an Uber. Totally unaceptable and a rip off.

Friendly staff. Line too long...one hour. No staff around at drop off.

I got there and they told me they didn’t have a car available after I reserved the night before. It made no sense. I am very very disappointed.
