I was very disappointed. I went to rental location and was told that my debit card could not be used for payment. I asked to use apple pay and that was a big fat no. I returned home and picked up a credit card and went back to rental location and they were closed at noon. The $26 I paid for insurance was not refunded. When I lift the location I should have been informed that they close at noon on Sunday, I told the customer service representative that I would be coming back with a credit card,

Perhaps my Owen fault, when I did not bring my credit card from Denmark. Back Home it is Ok to rent with just a debit card. The rent was prepaid and verified.. !! Anyway - my son and I had to go by public transportation instead. After the waiting at Avis San Diego.

I had no idea the locations for pick-up and drop off were not at the arrival and departure airports as requested. Had to get a taxi to take from airport to the p/u location and office was closed for 30 minutes once I arrived, in a pouring down rainstorm. The car was not cleaned and the tools in the cargo area were unsecured adn rolling around on our drive. The drop off location was also offsite and I had to have a friend meet me there and give me a ride to the airport.

When we arrived at San Diego Airport, we were told that our reservation was Tijuana not San Diego. I had a print out of my reservation and it showed Pick-up and Return were both San Diego. I ended up paying $90 more than my reserved price. I was not very happy about it.

Staff were very friendly. Easy checkin process. The only downside is that our pickup location did not have child seats so not sure why my reservation went through. We were made to travel to another location to pick up a car seat. Did not like this inconvenience but we had no choice.

I’d like that I could pick up the car at the airport facility. The price for what I got was reasonable. I didn’t like that I had to beg them to look for a car that had an electric power seat and a rear camera. I am very short, in order to be safe in a car. I need to be able to sit higher and also have a rear camera. I notified six rental well before my pick up that I needed a car with these two things. I also requested Apple CarPlay. I also didn’t like that six weeks into my rental. I received a call telling me I had to bring the car back and trade it in for another car as they had sold his car. It took a whole day and a whole tank of gas for me to make that trade. I was not compensated for either. Both of the cars that I drove were acceptable to me. The first car, however, had significant body damage. I had to accept that in order to get the power driver seat that I require because I am so short. Returning the car was very easy and efficient.

It totally sucked. I checked ahead just to make sure that they rented if you only had a debit card. Their website assured that if you had two forms of ID iall rentals was approved. Well that was a total LIE. I drove all the way to the Mexico border ( CBX ) just for them to say...."We don't accept debt card only credit card for our rentals. That's our policy". I ended up be late for my 100 year old granddaughters funeral on the account that I had to find other options to travel to Flagstaff AZ.....all because I trusted in what their website stated. So how was my experience?....it sucked BIG TIME!
