Space in the car was nice. It smelled like smoke, and there was a peeled orange still in the cup holder in the back

Pick up was so easy. The gentleman that was helping me was training a new team member and he was good at juggling me and the trainer. I liked being offered water and the extra cleaning measures taken in the rental.

Nice and quick process

The car was not very clean when we picked it up.

Everything was perfect except the driver's seat of the Camry was like sitting on a piece of wood.

Everything went very well. It's renting a car is so expensive now. Really didn't like the versa. Nothing wrong with it just wasn't comfortable for us. Alamo was good & the staff was very nice.

Selected Drop off spot was inactive. I had to find another drop off spot. Don't show locations that are not available.

Agent was extremely rude. Van was very dirty inside. Would never use or recommend Alamo.

The vehicle is clean but not well-maintained. The suspension was very stiff and felt like it did not exist. The door light alarm was always on, even I closed all the doors firmly several times. And I had to walk across the parking lot to find the car in the rain by myself.

Exterior of car was not clean. I upgraded to a luxury car category and the employees working did not really understand well which cars belong in that category. I expected a better overview of which cars I could take out of this category. Next time I will not upgrade due to this.

The final charge was more than what was told

Very pleased with the way things went with Budget Rental. I booked the rental through Expedia as I like the price. It was left to the Budget agent to pick the car. Wow, the wife and I were pleased when he said he had a Toyota Prius for us to drive. Loved the fuel economy and it had enough pep for us, it was a Nice car and drove well. The return at the Grand Rapids Airport was good and the Airline check in desk was just across the street from the rental cars.

Checkin was horrible. The time to pickup the car was 30-45 minutes. This did not include any waiting time.

When I picked up my vehicle, the agent told me the parking space where my rental was located. However, I did not understand him, and had to return to the rental booth to ask again. It would have been helpful to have the parking space clearly marked on my paperwork. Overall, though, everything went smoothly.

The car was dirty on the outside. Also, at the airport location, check-out should've been completed at time the vehicle was turned in.

Horrible experience. They gave car with no battery & no curiosity to even serve us first as we return back due to bad car issuance. I dont recommend to any one for this kind of poor customer service & they gave a remote that has no buttons( Mazda SUV). Plus car has all kind of indicators & we are not sure if that car will complete the trip.

Pick up was a disaster, long wait and much confusion between Avis, Budget and Payless. Car turned out to be an SUV that was backed up to a light post base so the rear door couldn’t be opened to put in luggage. Drop off was also a mess as there was no place to put the car and no directions to bus stop. I was directed into a spot which was partially blocked by a plastic post so I couldn’t get in straight. I also was not expecting to have $250 charged to my card when the rental was PREPAID!

The car windows would have benefited from a treatment of RainX...during a couple of rain storms the raindrops beaded up so much on the side windows and side mirrors that it was very difficult to see through them. I even stopped once to wipe them off, but they instantly beaded up again.

The vehicle I reserved was there but not available even so my reservation was useless.

I had a written reservation and confirmation (Hertz, 487 28th Street Se, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49548). Upon arrival, I was told there was not a single car available. The staff on site was not helpful at any time. A customer before me had the same problem. I can do without such service from hertz in the future.

Showed up and they told me there were no cars available.

In the office three times to get the correct vehicle before someone finally got up from behind the counter to help

The Avis people were all courteous and helpful. The type of car we reserved was unavailable so they gave us a choice of three for which upgraded vehicle we wanted. Thec return was also smooth and quick.

The customer service representative was extremely unpleasant and combative. From the moment we walked in, there was an attitude of hostility. Simple questions were answered with abrupt and unhelpful responses. I was not expecting for the red carpet to be rolled out for me and I understand that the night shift may come with a bit less of a cheerful attitude but her abrasive attitude was completely unnecessary. What was particularly disheartening was the fact the woman behind us in line was greeted warmly and helped promptly. It was clear the service representative decided she did not like us from the moment we walked up. We nearly cancelled our reservation and left for another rental car company but luckily the manager Zachariah came to the rescue to assist with our reservation when the woman “helping” us decided to disappear while we waited. If this Russian roulette of service representatives is what I can expect from Avis, I don’t plan on using their service in the future.
