Great time

Customer service guys at Launceston Airport made the rental experience quick and easy.

Phil the man in charge of Europcar in Tamer St, Launceston, was efficient, cheerful and polite. It was easy to book on the internet. My credit card wasn't charged until I had completed my week's hire. What everyone else has posted as comments re Europcar is the company needs to be looked at with caution!! The price appears very competitive at first look on line, however I discovered there was nearly $300 of extra charges when I signed the final papers.. This was insurance excess and roadside assist. My RACWA would have covered me. for the latter. The extra "optional" charges need to be made clear to customers when they initially book on line. No notice will be taken of what I write, but I will go to a "product review" website and say the same thing.

Easy pick up and return. Sales team very helpful. The cost was very high, but understandable with covid.

Car hire is really expensive in Tasmania at present and the cost of the hire was reflective of that. This cost could be prohibitive for many travellers - so do your homework

The price we paid ($2178.80) for five days was outrageous. The navigational system should have been included in that price but it wasn't. Also my sister asked for one of the maps that was on the counter. She was told that she had to pay $6 for it. Seriously - after paying such a ridiculous amount, Avis could not give customers a map! On a positive note the car was clean, economical, easy to pick up and drop off.

I would like someone to contact me directly. As discussed with Alamo already I want a full refund as they hired me a faulty vehicle. Unacceptable service!

Our flight was delayed which resulted in us not being able to collect the car at the allocated time. We were charged an additional $70 for this, apparently the office was closed (although there was a staff member working & customers behind us). This was not made apparent to us on booking.

Easy pick up and drop off service. I was called the day before pick up and day after pick up for confirmation and to ensure all was well with the car and service. Friendly staff who offered several options for paid upgrades as well as recommendations for local restaurants and activities. 10/10 for customer service.
