It was ok , however I was forced to pay an extra 94 pounds for insurance which I argued and was refunded later . I was told I had to pay for it cause the booking didn’t include it .

They refused to honour the booking, claiming that the central system that sends out booking confirmations is nothing to do with the branch. Their only solution was to offer to loan me a different car at a much more expensive price. They also would not let me speak to anyone else in the branch to complain.

I made a reservation one month before my trip. On the day of my reservation I showed up to pick up my car and the two gentlemen working informed me that they did not have a car for me to use. Zero effort was made to provide an explanation or a solution. Over and over again they simply said they did not have enough cars and there was nothing they could do. So I had to make a different reservation with another company last minute. In the end I never got a car from Hertz. And they did not provide me with a refund. Will never book with hertz again.

Hertz was excellent. My only complaint was we got a polestar instead of a Tesla and the Shell charging stations that came with the Polstar never worked.

General experience was good. Heavy push for upgrades and inclusion of insurance which I had through a different source. Car alarm went off almost every time I locked it. When I mentioned it upon return, they said that happens with MG’s regularly. If that is so either drop the cars or at least warn the renter.

Customers should be aware that Europcar will not go or credit card insurance coverage. I was made to purchase Europcar insurance and told I could drive the car away without a europcar insurance policy. This effectively doubled the cost of the car rental! In addition the car provided was old, worn, and smaller than I expected.

I input wrong pickup day when I entered reservation, paid and then 15 mins later I contacted them to change the pickup date and they did it but would not refund the extra day that I paid for by accident. I reserved a Mercedes van, they switched it on me at pickup to a Renault. The insurance cost more per day than the car rental!

The car booked was the Peugeot 2008 but I was given the Hyundai Exceed which was lower and caused a lot of discomfort while driving, the indicators for the tires lights up for no apparent reason which again caused me to be concerned throughout the journey I had called for an expert to checked on the tyre but It seems to have no problem but I still need to pay for the call this made me unhappy. The other features of the car such as USB ports and the screen which was supposed to be connected to my iPhone were also non usable. I took full insurance on rental car just to be given such a poor service.

Place was shabby. No effort to clear ice and car did not have any washer for wipers which meant I was driving blind on the motorway as salt covered my screen. This was dangerous and I must report it as I could he’s been killed. Staff in Docklands simply did not care when I pointed it out. Also tyre pressures were low so I also had to sort it out. Staff took us to the airport but said nothing. Did not help with bags and drove too fast. Surly and unhelpful when returning car.

Easirent at Heathrow is based in a container in the corner of a parking lot. No direct pick up from Terminals, you have to catch a hotel hopping bus. Also, cost advertised is only the car rental. Insurance and damage waiver coverage are extras which really ramps up the price. They may be backed by Fiat (they say) and operate through Pricecom (an American outfit) but their set up is second rate, although in the end the car we had was good, met our needs but was overpriced.
