Upon pick up , as there was an issue with my card, the desk said I could not use my wife's card to pay there pick up fee. However they were more than happy to take €700 off her card for full coverage . Talk about a scam!!! Ok to take payments as long as they are digging into peoples pockets

Long story short, I’ve been screwed over twice by this company. Once I paid in full, but wasn’t able to get my money back because I paid in full. I had an emergency surgery that prevented me from traveling. I wasn’t able to get my money back even with a surgeons note. The previous experience, I reserved two SUV’s to accommodate my family. Only one was available. We had to wait over 24 hours to get a vehicle that would accommodate us. If you pay in full, there’s no way of getting your money back should you need to cancel. If you reserve a car, you may have the size car you requested. I wouldn’t recommend this company without travel insurance.

Long wait time to be seen, not necessarily the staff's fault but had a 10am pick-up, arrived at 9:45am, waited in line until close to 10:30am until seen due to customers in front having numerous questions.

Generally good, friendly staff and efficient. Only real issue was that we couldn't use our CDW waiver with credit card coverage since: a) it required a very large authorization on the card (€5000, I think) which was rejected for security reasons, and b) there's a fee to do this! Never seen this issue before but I think it's avoidable via the aggregators. Car itself was good. Had more nicks and scratches at pickup than average but that's not a problem for us. Overall a good experience, just a bit pricy for a one day rental once all the added fees are taken into account.

Customer service was excellent. Pick-up and Drop-off was very easy. Car was clean and good condition. I went to a wrong terminal without reading the instructions. Read instructions carefully and just be mindful which terminal the car is located and go to the right terminal. Then all will be well. Very easy. West wishes

Arrived at desk and told insurance not included also that the extra hire insurance I had bought from AIG wouldn’t cover me either. The price then went up To include insurance over 100 extra. Also advise never to book on an American website. Be very aware. Buying on these sites and the insurance coverage. Won’t be using this site or dollar again.

No nos respetaron el precio por el cual habíamos cogido la reserva en KAYAK. Les enseñamos que teníamos la reserva con otro precio y se limitaron a decir que el precio que les aparecía a ellos era el que podían hacer y no dieron otra opción. Además, no fuimos informados de que si no queríamos coger seguro de coche (no iba en la reserva) debíamos de dejar 5000€ de fianza y tener un seguro de viaje. Si hubiéramos sabido estas condiciones, no hubiéramos hecho esta reserva. El trato fue nefasto, ya que se limitaban a decir que el precio era ese y sin respetar nuestro precio de reserva previo... No recomiendo esta empresa.

This was the most horrible rental experience I have ever had. The service desk was terrible and the manager was terrible at Dublin airport. We paid over $1000 for a weekly rental and then they said we could not take the car unless we paid an extra $500 in insurance . It was total bait and switch job. They also cancelled my brothers reservation without even letting him know. We went to Sixt rentals and they took care of us and couldn’t have been nicer. I will never ever rent from Avis again. Low class and terrible service.

Was vey disappointed in this entire experience really. Extremely confusing checkin and cad pickup process, car ended up costing about $500 more than originally expected, and they didn’t have the car we booked months in advance. If I would’ve listened to other reviews, I would’ve just paid more upfront (ended up paying it anyway), and went with My Irish Cousin for rental.

Insurance is a bit of a rip off and they don’t recognise our travel insurance covers their car. Car was given to us with a low pressure in a tyre, no water in the window washers and a drivers door handle loose.
