Instead of looking for solutions, the person at the desk kept repeating why we couln'd rent the car. I can understand the reasons why alamo doesn't accept prepaid credit cards (although Sixt does), but can't accept to have receptionists being so unresponsive and clearly lacking skills to look for solutions.

They didn't have the car I ordered and tried to force me to pay for the upgrade. I said no, but they said that I had to buy the $70 per day insurance then. I'm not on vacation to argue and cause problems so I just accepted it, but it will make me hesitate next time to rent with Sixt in the future.

I ended up canceling the reservation on the spot. I’ll never book with this company again. It’s a scam. To improve, they need to completely change their business model and change the people working for them. It would be better if such company did not exist.

Location at the Amsterdam convention center was convenient. They rented us a car with multiple existing scratches the proceeded to claim we scratched a hub cap and charge $300 for repair work. The good news is we were covered through our credit card company who was super helpful but working with Sixt was awful and I won’t ever use them again. Stay away from them as a company.
