Cheap Car Rentals in Fort Myers

My receipt/bill was never emailed to me as promised.

Tank wasn't full, then filled and was charged some when I returned it full. Car wasn't super clean. The service at pick up was really slow - over 1.5 hour wait to get my car which is awful when it's already reserved and paid for, and we had a long travel day. Not super pleased overall.

Car we ended up with was ok. We had to return 1st car as it had a wobble. 2nd car had check engine light. Price was wrong in e-mail and Hertz didn't want to do anything about it. Fought for 1st 2 hrs of our vacation to get the price quoted

The car started and no flat tires

I booked this through cheap flights it was supposed to be $199 everything included they even added the insurance in there by the time I got done it was $330 some odd dollars and a lot of double speak and I was already late because they sent you three different places to actually pick up the car never again I'll never do it through cheap flights and I will never rent from Dollar Thrifty or hurts again I'm going back to Enterprise few dollars more but at least they know what the hell they're doing and no surprise fees I use 3 gallons of gas the girl talked me into a gas program that was supposed to replace the gas at a competitive price 40 cents higher than anything I saw in Fort Myers is not a competitive price charging me $73 for a quarter tank of gas is absolutely ridiculous and trust me I'm not done spreading the word about how I got screwed at Dollar and ultimately h e r t z

With a 90 minute estimated wait to pick up a car, we went on Expedia.com and booked an Alamo car on the spot, for only a small amount ore. The $50 difference saved us over an hour in a line. Will NOT rent from Budget again !

Ft Myers has multiple locations needed better instructions

Took forever to check in . Long lines. Walk a "mile" to get the car and after drop off.

The price is different for pickup/ online

I specifically picked a vehicle for 5 people and 4 suitcases. The tiny vehicle we got was not equipped for that. We had four adults with four suitcases. Only 3 would fit in the back so we had to squeeze on in the backseat.

Great value for the price. Love the shuttle at the airport and courteous driver. Great agents at the desk. Quick check in and quick check out. Very convenient to the highway and getting to southern Florida. Would use it again.

Took over two hours to get the car at pickup.

Car was empty on gas , I returned it with 1/3 & they charged me $99 fuel service , even a tank of gas cost me $47.00 , disgusting

Some confusion over the pick up location when booked on line. Hannah &, in particular, Shelsey, were extremely helpful & diligent in completing the reservation at RSW Airport location. Unfortunately, our first rental displayed engine maintenance caution near the mid point of our lease, so we had to return it for a replacement. Once again, the staff at RDW Airport were efficient at handling the transaction.
